1888 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 14TH DAY OF AUGUST 1978 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NOo 1888 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
regular meeting on the 14th day of August, 1978, approve the ad-
vertisement for bids for construction of street improvements on
7th Street N. E. , between East Cherry and Booth Alley; Booth Alley,
between 7th Street N. E, and 8th Street N, E, ; and Booth Place,
from 7th Street N. E. East 157 feet, which bids were received until
10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, September 6, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
made by David Buster, d/b/a David Buster Construction Company,
an~ he should be awarded the contract for such project; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to complete said project is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of David Buster, d/b/a David Buster Construction
Company, for the construction of street improvements, in the amount
of $34, 755. 00, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said
contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in
the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directe~ to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract
for the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and
in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with David Buster,
d/b/a David Buster Construction Company.
