1898 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 14TH DAY OF AUGUST 1978 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1g9g .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
regular meeting on the 14th day of August, 1978, approve the ad-
vertisement for bids for the furnishing of two (2) gate valves for
use at the Water Treatment Plant, which bids were received until
10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, October 25, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for the two (2) gate valves, in the
amount of $4, 071. 20, was made by Dresser Manufacturing Division
of Dresser Industries, Inc. , and it should be awarded the contract
for the furnishing of such gate valves; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for the furnishing of such
gate valves is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Dresser Manufacturing Division of Dresser
Industries, Inc. , for the furnishing of two (Z) gate valves for use
at the Water Treatment Plant, in the amount of $4, 071. 20, is
hereby accepted an~ let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting
all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, an~ he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract
for the furnishing of such gate valves, upon the terms and condi-
tions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with
Dresser Manufacturing Division.
