1899 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 14TH DAY OF AUGUST 1978 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1899 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
regular meeting on the 14th day of August, 1978, approve the ad-
vertisement for bids for construction of a new metal °'T" Hangar
Building at Cox Field, in accordance with detailed plans and speci-
fications, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. ,
Wednesday, November 8, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said construction project was
made by Wright Construction Company, Paris, Texas, and it should
be awarded the contract for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such construction
is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Wright Construction Company, for construc-
tion of a new metal "T" Hangar Building at Cox Field, within 100
consecutive calendar days, in the amount of $68, 225. 00, is hereby
accep~ed an~ let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of
the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract
with Wright Construction Company, for the construction of a new
metal "T" Hangar Building at Cox Field, upon the terms and con-
ditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
