1783 RES CITY COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT OF WIDENING OF 24TH ST SERESOLUTION N0. 17g3 . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has undertaken a project of widening of 24th Street, S. E. , from its intersection with College Street, South to F. M. 1507; and, WHEREAS, the right of way necessary for such widening is described as follows; Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and being a portion of Lot 8, City Block 166 and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the South R. 0. W. Line of the Old Paris and Mt. Pleasant Railroad (100 ft. R, 0. W. ) and the West R. 0. W. line of 24th Street S. E, (existing 50 ft. R, 0. W. ) THENCE South Ol ° 03' West along the existing West R. 0. W. Line of 24th Street S. E. , a distance of 767. 25 ft. to a point for a corner, said point being in the North lot line of Lot 7, City Block 166; THENCE West along the North lot line of Lot 7, and the South lot line of Lot 8, City Block 166, a distance of 16. 0 ft, to a point for a corner; THENCE North O1 ° 15' East a distance of 769. 84 ft. to a point in the South R. 0. W, Line of the aforementioned Old Paris and Mt. Pleasant Railroad for a corner; THENCE South 79° 09' East along said South R, 0. W. Line of the Old Paris and Mt. Pleasant Railroad, a distance of 13. 49 ft. to the point of beginning and containing 11, 249. 50 s. f, or 0. 258 acres of land, more or less. and is owned by the heirs of Maynard Bray; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the described right of way is necessary for said improvement project and that the same should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to condemn the above described property to be used for 24th Street, S.
