1775 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 11TH DAY OF OCTOBER 1976 PASSED RES NO 1773RESOLUTION NO. 1775 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the llth day of October, 1976, pass Resolution
No. 1773 letting a bid for furnishing and delivery of One (1) New
Dump Body for the Public Works Department to Motor Truck
Equipment Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, upon review of the bids, it is determined that the
best bid for such dump body meeting the specifications is Fleet
Equipment Company, Dallas, Texas, vice Motor Truck Equipment
Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1773 should be, in all things, re-
pealed; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such dump body was made by
Fleet Equipment Company, Dallas, Texas, and it should be awarded
the contract for furnishing and installation of such body; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such dump body is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That Resolution No. 1773, be, and the same is hereby repealed;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the bid of Fleet Equipment
Company, Dallas, Texas, to furnish and install dump body for the
Public Works Department, in the amount of $1, 895. 00, is hereby
accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the
terms and conditions included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Fleet Equipment Company, to install One (1) New Dump Body for the
City of Paris Public Works Department, upon the terms and conditions
and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
