1773 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 13TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1976 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1773
WHEREAS, the City Courril of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the 13th day of September, 1976, approve the
advertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of One (1) New
Dump Body for the Public Works Department, in accordance with
detailed specifications dated September, 1976, which bids were re-
ceived until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, October 6, 1976; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such dump body was made by
Motor Truck Equipment Corporation, and it should be awarded the
contract for furnishing and installation of such body; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such dump body
is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, That the bid of Motor Truck Equipment Corporation, to
furnish and install dump body for the Public Works Department, in
the amount of $l, 799. 00, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned
upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and conditions in-
cluded in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Motor Truck Equipment Corporation, to furnish, install and deliver
One (1) New Dump Body for the City of Paris Public Works
Department, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown
in Exhibit A attached hereto.
