1771 RES CITY COUNCIL AND COMMISSINOERS COURT OF LAMAR COUNTY CONVENED IN JOINT SESSION ON SEPTEMBER 27 1976RESOLUTION NO. 1771 , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris and the Commissioners Court of Lamar County, in joint session crnvened, in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, at 5:15 P. M. , on September 27, 1976, did receive a request for the extension for an additional two year period of the term of the Cass Ambulance Service Contract, dated June 9, 1975; and, WHEREAS, at said joint session a joint committee was appointed to investigate the advisability of the extension of said contract; and, WHEREAS, said joint committee's report having been re- ceived, it appears that the best interest of the citizens of Paris and Lamar County will best be served by extending for an addi- tional term of two years the ambulance service contract with Cass Ambulance Service, Inc. ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF LAMAR COUNTY, in joint session convened, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, and the County Judge of Lamar County, Lester Crutchfield, be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute Addendum No. 1 to Ambulance Service Contract, dated June 9, 1975, between the City of Paris, the County of Lamar and Cass Ambulance Service, Inc. , upon the terms and conditions and in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. R. aynes, ity Attorney ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO AMBULANCE SERVICE CONTRACT, DATED JUNE 9, 1975, BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS, THE COUNTY OF LA.MAR AND CASS AMBULANCE SERVICE, INC. STATE OF TEXAS ~ COUNTY OF LAMAR ~ This addendum to ambulance service contract, made this llth day of October, 1976, by and between the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, acting by and through its Mayor, duly authorized, hereinafter called City, the COUNTY OF LAMAR, STATE OF TEXAS, acting by and through its County Judge, duly authorized, hereinafter called County, and CASS AMBULANCE SERVICE, INC., Paris, Texas, a corporation, acting by and through its President, duly authorized, hereinafter called Cass, WITNESSETH: It is hereby mutually agreed by and between City, County and Cass that Paragraph 9 of the above described agreement be changed to read as follows: "9. Cass agrees to furnish the County Judge, Lamar County, and the City Manager, City of Paris, quarterly reports relating to revenues, expenses, call statistics and the status of delinquent and uncollectable accounts and keep a system of records including, but not limited to, call book, bank deposits, expense and income ledger and corporation checkbook, which records will be kept separate and exclusive of any other business enterprise in which Ca.ss might be engaged, all of which records will be available for inspection at 270 20th Street, N. E. , Paris, Texas, Cass' Business Office, between the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 5:00 P. M., Monday through Friday, by the County Judge and/or City Manager, and EXHIRIT A City and County holds Cass harmless for the unauthorized disclosure or use of personal medical information learned from such inspection. " and that Paragraph 15 of the above described agreement be changed to read as follows: "15. This agreement shall be effective and the term thereof shall commence on the lst day of September, 1975 and shall expire on the 31st day of August, 1979.
