1769 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 9TH DAY OF AUGUST 1976 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1769
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the 9th day of August, 1976, approve the adver-
tisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of One (1) New 1977
Truck Cab and Chassis and/or Fire Apparatus for the Fire
Department, in accordance with detailed specifications, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, September 8,
1976 ; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for fire apparatus was made by
W. A. Neel, d/b/a W. A. Neel Assoc., and he should be awarded
the contract for such apparatus; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such apparatus is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of W. A. Neel, d/b/a W. A. Neel Assoc. , to
furnish fire apparatus for the City of Paris Fire Department, in the
amount of $16, 165. OQ, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon
said contractor meeting all of the terms and conditions included in
the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
W. A. Neel, to furnish and deliver fire apparatus for the City of
Paris Fire Department, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of September, 1976.
