1766 RES CITY COUNCIL AT REGULAR MEETING ON 12TH DAY OF JULY 1976 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1766 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at a
regular Council Meeting, on the 12th day of July, 1976, approve the
advertisement for bids for First Phase, Restoration of City of Paris
Sanitary Landfill Site, consisting of relocation of existing refuse,
trench excavation and construction of roadway and levees, in
accordance with detailed plans and specifications, dated July 1976,
which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday,
August 4, 1976; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said project was made by
Griffin & Dickson, a partnership, Kilgore, Texas, and it should be
awarded the contract for such project; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to construct said project is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Griffin & Dickson, to construct to completion,
within 90 calendar days, First Phase, Restoration of City of Paris
Sanitary Landfill Site, in the amount of $107, 770. 00, is hereby
accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of
the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
