A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1742 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 1, 2 AND
5 OF SAID RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF
SEVEN (7) COUNCILMEN FROM EACH OF THE SEVEN (7) WARDS
AND PROVIDING FOR SEVEN (7) POLLING PLACES AND RAFIFYING
NOTICE OF ELECTION HERETOFORE PROMULGATED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Section 1 of Resolution No. 1742 of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified
voters of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first
Saturday in April, 1976, same being the 3rd day of April,
1976, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A. M. and 7:00
o'clock P. M. , for the purpose of electing seven (7)
members of the City Council of the City of Paris, as
follows :

of the State of Texas wherein they do not conflict with
said Order. "
Section 2. That Section 2 of Resolution No. 1742 of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Section 2. That the polling places and election

"Section 5. The articles appearing in "Ihe Paris News
and The Lamar County Echo and the radio broadcasts
carried by Radio Station KPLT are hereby adopted and
ratified as the official notice of election in lieu of all
State Law and Charter requirements. "
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
special meeting, at the Municipal Court Room, Police and Court
Building, Paris, Texas, on this the 2nd day of April, 1976.
