1727 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 10TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO, 1727 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the lOth day of November, 1975, approve the
advertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of one new
truck chassis/platform lift and utility body, in accordance with de-
tailed specifications, dated November, 1975, which bids were re-
ceived until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, December 3, 1975;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of one
new truck chassis was made by Kosterman Motor Co. , Inc. , Paris,
Texas, and it should be awarded the contract for such equipment;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of one
platform lift utility body was made by Traffic Signal Equipment, Inc. ,
Fort Worth, Texas, and it should be awarded the contract for such
equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit B; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Kosterman Motor Co. , Inc. , to furnish and
deliver one new truck chassis, within 45 calender days, in the amount
of $4, 745. 00, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said seller
meeting all of the terms and conditions included in the bid documents;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the bid of Traffic Signal
Equipment, Inc. , to furnish and deliver one platform lift utility body,
within 40 calendar days after receipt of chassis at plant in Muncie,
Indiana, in the amount of $10, 800. 00, is hereby accepted and let,
conditioned upon the seller meeting all of the terms and conditions
included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contracts with
Kosterman Motor Co. , Inc, and Traffic Signal Equipment, Inc. , to
furnish and deliver the equipment above described and upon the terms
and conditions and in the form shown in said contracts attached hereto
as Exhibits A and B.
