1725 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 10TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1725 •
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the lOth day of November, 1975, approve the
advertisement for bids for relocation of an elevated water storage
tank, in accordance with detailed specifications, which bids were
received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, December 3, 1975;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such work was made by Mark G.
Jones, Paris, Texas, and he should be awarded the contract for
such work; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such work is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Mark G. Jones, for relocation of an elevated
water storage tank, said work to be completed within 30 calendar
days, in the amount of $4, 860. 00, is hereby accepted and le*, condi -
tioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifica-
tions included in the bid documents, and further conditioned upon the
feasibility of construction of foundation by others at the relocation
site; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Mark G. Jones for the relocation of an elevated water storage tank,
upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto and conditioned as aforesaid.
