1718 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 13TH DAY OF OCTOBER 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1718 _
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the 13th day of October, 1975, approve the ad -
vertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of 1976 rolling
stock for City of Paris, in accordance with detailed specifications
dated October, 1975, which bids were received until 10:00 0' clock
A. M., Wednesday, November 5, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of two
(2) new 1976 full size, 4-door automobiles was made by Bill Booth
Motors, and it should be awarded the contract for such equipment;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of one
(1) new 1976 intermediate size, four door automobile was made by
Kosterman Motor Co. , Inc. , and it should be awarded the contract
for such equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit B; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of one
(1) new 1976 full size, six passenger station wagon was made by
Lowry Chevrolet Inc. , and it should be awarded the contract for
such equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit C; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for furnishing and delivery of three
(3) new 1976 1/2 ton pickup trucks was made by Morphew Buick-GMC
Company, and it should be awarded the contract for such equipment;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit D; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Bill Booth Motors, to furnish and deliver two
(2) new 1976 full size, 4-door automobiles, within 90 calendar days,
in the amount of $9, 004. 06, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned
upon said seller meeting all of the terms and conditions included
in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the bid of I<osterman
Motor Co. , Inc. , to furnish and deliver one (1) new 1976 intermediate
size, four door automobile, within 30 calender days, in the amount of
$4, 271. 56, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon the seller
meeting all of the terms and conditions included in the bid documents;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the bid of Lowry Chevrolet
Inc., to furnish and deliver one (1) new 1976 full size, six passenger
station wagon, within 60 calendar days, in the amount of $4, 160. 31,
is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon the seller meeting all of
the terms and conditions included in the bid documents; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the bid of Morphew
Buick-GMC Company, to furnish and deliver three (3) new 1976 1/2 ton
pickup trucks, within 75 calendar days, in the amount of $10, 313. 22,
is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon the seller meeting all of
the terms and conditions included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contracts with
Bill Booth Motors, Kosterman Motor Co. , Inc., Lowry Chevrolet Inc.
and Morphew Buick-GMC Company, to furnish and deliver the equipment
above described and described in the several contracts, upon the terms
and conditions and in the form shown in said contracts attached hereto
as Exhibits A, B, C and D.
