1715 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT PLAT OF S J WRIGHT ADD'N RECORDED BOOK 53 PAGE 476RESOLUTION NO. 1715
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council
of the City of Paris, that in the Plat of the S. J. Wright Addition, in
Paris, Lamar County, Texas, as shown by said plat, recorded Book 53,
Page 476, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, that there is an alley,
beginning at the West Boundary Line of 17th Street, S. W. , at the
South East Corner of Lot 1, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, and the
North East Corner of Lot 16, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, be.ing 15
feet wide and extending in a Westerly direction 400 feet, more or less,
to the East Boundary Line of 18th Street, S. W. and the South West
Corner of Lot 8, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, and the North West
Corner of Lot 9, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, lying adjacent to the
South Boundary Lines of Lots 1 through 8 and adjacent to the North
Boundary Lines of Lots 9 through 16, all in Block 3 of the S. J. Wright
Addition; and,
WHEREA,S, it has been called to the attention of the City Council
that the alley described in said plat is not desired by the property
owners adjacent to said alley and that said alley is of no use to the
City of Paris, and, therefore, no necessity exists therefor; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, be,
and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to 7-1/2 feet
of the 15 foot alley being closed to the adjacent owners on e.ither side
of said alley, it appearing that the real and true owners of the here-
inafter described lots and parts of lots out of Block 3 in the S. J.
Wright Addition are as follows:
Lots l, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13
Lot 2
Lots 3 and 4
Lots 9 and 10
Lot 14 and West 20 feet of Lot 15
East 30 feet of Lot 15 and Lot 16
