1711 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 8 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1711 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the 8th day of September, 1975, approve the ad-
vertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of one new gasoline
powered, trailer mounted, ditch pump for the City of Paris Public
Works Department, in accordance with detailed specifications dated
September 1975, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M.,
Wednesday, October 8, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said equipment was made by
Berry Bros. Machinery Inc, for its Marlow Model 6E4A, and it
should be awarded the contract for such equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Berry Bros. Machinery Inc. , to furnish and
deliver one new gasoline powered, trailer mounted, ditch pump for
the City of Paris Public Works Department, said equipment to be
delivered within forty-five (45) calendar days, in the amount of
$5, 999. 99, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon sa id con-
tractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the
bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Berry Bros. Machinery Inc, to furnish and deliver one new gasoline
powered, trailer mounted, ditch pump for the City of Paris Public
Works Depaivnent, upon the terms and conditions and in the form
shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
