1710 RES 61ST LEGISLATURE OF ST OF TX ENACTED ST LIBRARY SYSTEMS ACT OF 1969RESOLUTION NO. 1710 ,
WHEREAS, the 61st Legislature of the State of Texas enacted
the State Library Systems Act of 1969, being Article 5446a, V. A. T. S. ;
and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Library and Historical Commission is
responsible for the administration of said Act; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Library and Historical Commission has
authorized the designation of the Paris Public Library as a Community
Library under the Library Systems Act of 1969 and a member of the
North East Texas Library System; and,
WHEREAS, the Paris Public Library may derive benefit from
participation in the State Library System; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the designation of the Paris Public Library as a
Community Library under the provisions of the Library Systems
Act of 1969, be, and the same is hereby accepted.
Passed and adopted this 25th day of August, 1975.
