1660 RES CITY COUNCIL COMPLETED ACQUISITION OF ROW FOR IMPROVEMENT OF LOOP 286 NWRESOLUTION NO. 1660 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has recently
completed the acquisition of right of way for the improvement of
Loop 286 N. W. , from U. S. Highway 82 West of Paris to 0. 2 miles
West of U. S. Highway 271, being Project No. RW-8001-1-31, desig-
nated U. S. Highway 82, in cooperation with said Texas Highway
Department Project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris wishes to
continue to cooperate in said project so that the same may be
accomplished as soon as possible; and,
WHEREAS, it is vital to said project that utility adjustments
be made with Lone Star Gas Company for the relocation of 225 feet
of 2 inch gas distribution line and 350 feet of 8 inch high pressure
gas transmission main line, both at the intersection of U. S. Highway
82 (N. W. Loop 286) and F. M. Highway 79, upon the terms and
conditions as shown in Exhibits A and B attached hereto; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contractual agreements for right of way utility adj ustments, dated
February 10, 1975, between the State of Texas, the City of Paris
and Lone Star Gas Company, in the form of Exhibits A and B
attached hereto.
