1662 RES CERTAIN GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUNDER UNDER COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973 IS AVAILABLE TO CITIESRESOLUTION NO. 1662
WHEREAS, certain grant financial assistance funded under
the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 (PL93 -203)
is available to cities; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it in
the best interest of the City of Paris to receive grant assistance
under such Act; and,
WHEREAS, in order to receive grant assistance it is nec-
essary to enter into an agreement upon the terms and conditions and
in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Kerry R.
Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris the agreement for grant assistance under
the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973, upon the
terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached
hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Kerry R. Sweatt,
City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized to act as authorized
representative as that term is used in the Comprehensive Employ-
ment and Training Act.
