1667 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 10TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1667 ,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the lOth day of February, 1975, approve the
advertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of one new 1975
Truck Cab and Chassis for the City of Paris Public Works
Department, in accordance with detailed plans and specifications,
dated February, 1975, which bids were received until 10:00 0' clock
A. M., Wednesday, March 5, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said equipment was made by
Lowry Chevrolet, Inc. , Paris, Texas, and it should be awarded the
contract for such equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish said equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Lowry Chevrolet, Inc. , to furnish and deliver
one new 1975 Truck Cab and Chassis for the City of Paris Public
Works Department, within eight (8) calendar days if body installed
by Fleet Equipment Co. , in the amount of $7, 264. 82, is hereby
accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of
the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Br.unette, be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Lowry Chevrolet, Inc. to furnish and deliver one new 1975 Truck
Cab and Chassis for the City of Paris Public Works Department,
upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto.

This Agreement made and entered into this lOth day of March ~
1975 , by and between the City of Paris, a municipal corporation, of the state
aF Texas, hereinafter called city, and Lowry Chevrolet, Inc. , Paris, Texas,
hereinafter called contractor.
4Jitnesseth: That the parties hereto, in consideration of the covenants and
agreements hereinafter contained to be kept and performed by the respective
parties, do hereby agree as follotivs:
1. Contractor agrees to sell to city and to furnish and de1iver for
the Department of Public Works of said City, f.o.b. Paris, Texas, the follouring:
one (I) neUr 1975 truck cab and chassis in accordance with Detailed Specifications
and Bid Form far the furnishing and delivery of one new 1975 truck cab and chassis
for the City of Paris Department of Public 4Jorks dated February, 1975; at and
for the consideration of $ 7, 264. 82
2. Contractor agrees to furnish and deliver the heretofore stated items
in accordance viith the provisions of the Detailed Specifications and Bid Form
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. It is understood that the following documents, to wit: the Notice to
Bidders, the Detailed Specifica"tions and Bid Form, copies of which are hereto
attached, are hereby made a part of this contract, and each of the parties het^eto
agree to carry out and perform each and al1 of the provisions of this contract
and of the documents incorparated herein and made a part hereof upon his or its
part ta be perform2d. Originals of said documents are fi7ed in the Office of the
City Clerk of said City.
4. Ci ty agrees to pay to contractor the sum o-f $ 7, 264. 82 upan
final acceptance by the City of the items specified he•rein under Section 1.
