1668 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS MEETING ON 10TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1975 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION N0. 1668 _
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its
Council Meeting on the lOth day of February, 1975, approve the ad-
vertisement for bids for furnishing and delivery of one new 1975
Dump Body for the City of Paris Public Works Department, in
accordance with detailed plans and specifications, which bids were
received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, March 5, 1975; and,
WHE REAS, the best bid for said equipment was made by
Motor Truck Equipment Corp. , 2950 Irving Blvd., Dallas, Texas,
75247, and it should be awarded the contract for such equipment;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish said equipment is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Motor Truck Equipment Corp. , to furnish
and deliver one new 1975 Dump Body for the City of Paris Public
Works Department, within twenty (20) calendar days, in the amount
of $1, 464. 51, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said
contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in
the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with
Motor Truck Equipment Corp. to furnish and deliver one new 1975
Dump Body for the City of Paris Public Works Department upon the
terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached
hereto.

This Agreement made and entered into this lOth day of March
19 75 , by and between the City of Paris, a municipal corporation, of the sta'te
of Texas, hereinafter called city, and Motor Truck Equipment Corp. ,
2950 Irving Blvd. , Dallas, Texas, 75247,
hereinafter called contractor.
Witnesseth: That the parties hereto, in consideration of the covenants and
agreements hereinafter contained to be kept and performed by the respective
parties, do hereby agree as follows:
l. Contractor agrees to sell to city and ta furnish and deliver for the
Department of Public Works of said City, f.o.b. Paris, Texas, the follovjing:
one (1) new 1975 Dump Body in accordance with Detailed Speclfications and Bid
Form for the furnishing and delivery of one (1) new 1975 Dump Body for the
City of Paris Department of Public Works dated February, 1975; at and for the
consideration of $1, 464. 51 .
2. Contractar agrees to furnish and deliver the.her.etofor..e stated items
in accordance with the provisions of the Detailed Specifications and Bid Form
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. It is undErstood that the following documents, to wit: the Pdotice ta
Bidders, the Detailed Specifications ancl Bid form, copies of which are ilereto
attached, are hereby made a part of this contract, and each of tne parties hereto
agree to carry out and perform each and all of the provisions of this contract
and af the documents incorporated herein and made a part hereof upon his or its
part to be performed. Originals of said documents are filed in the Office of the
City Clerk of said City.
4. City agrees to pay to contractor the sum of $ 1,4 64. 51 upon
final acceptance by the City of the items specified herein under Section 1.
