1609 RES CHARTER OF COP WAS ADOPTED BY CITIZENS OF PARIS AT ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 2 1948RESOLUTION NO. 1609
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Paris was adopted by
the citizens of Paris at an election held on November 2, 1948; and,
WHEREAS, said Charter has not been amended since adoption;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Paris
deem it appropriate that the Charter of the City of Paris be reviewed
by a committee of citizens of the City of Paris, in order to determine
if there need be any changes to the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That a Charter Study Committee be appointed to review the
Charter of the City of Paris to determine whether it would be appro-
priate for said Charter to be changed in any manner, which committee
is chaired by James M. Brunette and composed of the following
members: Spencer Abbett, Henry Ayres, Walter Bassano, C. E.
Gilmore, Terry K. Haynes, F. D. Mallory, III, J. D. McLaughlin,
Jeff Methven, Hardy Moore, Robert Pierson, Thomas Steely,
Kerry R. Sweatt and Jim N. Thompson.
Passed and adopted this 8th day of April, 1974.
