1613 RES PUBLIC CONVENIENCE, SAFETY AND NECESSITY OF COP AND CITIZENS REQUIRE CITY COUNCIL COOPERATE WITH ST OF TXRESOLUTION N0. 1613
WHEREAS, the public convenience, safety and necessity of the
City of Paris and of the citizens of the City of Paris require that the
City Council of the City of Paris cooperate with the State of Texas in
every manner in which Farm to Market Highway routes within the City
of Paris may be improved; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Department has agreed to make
certain improvements, including reconstruction and relocation of Farm
to Market Road No. 1507 from State Highway No. 19 East approxi -
mately l. 6 miles; and,
WHEREAS, it is solely the City's responsibility, and the City
has requested the State to construct or have constructed concrete
curb and gutter, storm sewer work and incidental items within the
limits of such project, the estimated construction cost of which is
$125, 800. 00, including contingencies and construction engineering;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris must provide for the payment of
the herein described portion of the project in accordance with the
agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, D. D. S. ,
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf
of the City of Paris the agreement for construction of concrete
curb and gutter, storm sewer work and incidental items, including
contingencies and construction engineering, upon the terms and con-
ditions and in the form as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
