1619 RES BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY RECOMMENDED DAVID DENNEY BE APPOINTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORSRESOLUTION NO. 1619
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paris Public Library
has recommended that David Denney be appointed to the Board of
Directors of the Paris Public Library, in order to fill the vacancy
created by the death of L. A. Howerton, said appointment to become
effective immediately and continue through June 30, 1975, or until his
successor is appointed; and,
WHEREAS, under Section 17-16 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, it is necessary that said appointment
be made by the City Council upon recommendation of the Library Board;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That David Denney, who resides within the corporate limits of
the City of Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby appointed to serve as
a member of the Board of Directors of the Paris Public Library
through June 30, 1975, or until his successor is appointed.
