1625 RES AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION WILL OCCUR IN 1976RESOLUTION NO. 1625 WHEREAS, the American Revolution Bicentennial Celebration will occur in 1976; and, WHE REAS, the State of Texas has created an American Revolution Bicentennial Commission to receive goals and programs to reflect the State and National Celebration; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris and Lamar County desire to develop plans for the participation of citizens of this community in the overall activities; and, WHER EAS, it is necessary to study, review and develop potential goals and projects for consideration for adoption by the City of Paris and Lamar County; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to create a study committee to develop recommended goals and projects; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate for said committee to have a broad base, and the persons listed on Exhibit A, attached hereto, have made themselves available to serve on said committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tf-E CITY OF PARIS, Thet the persons named on Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and they are hereby appointed to serve as the City of Paris and Lamar County's Bicentennial Committee, which committee shall make such recommendations to the City Council of the City of Paris within the guide lines set forth above as it deems appropriate.
