1635 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT PLAT OF P J WILLIS & SONS SHOWS AN ALLEYRESOLUTION NO. 1635
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council
of the City of Paris, that in the Plat of the P. J. Willis & Bros. Sub-
division, in Paris, Lamar County, Texas
, as shown by said plat, re-
corded Book 86, Page 86, Deed Records,
Lamar County, Texas, that
there is an alley, beginning at the East
Boundary Line of 15th Street,
S. E. , at the South West Corner of Lot
l, Block B, P. J. Willis & Bros.
Subdivision, and the North West Corner
of Lot 6, Block B, P. J. Willis
& Bros. Subdivision, being 13 feet wide
and extending in an Easterly
direction 498 feet, more or less, to the
West Boundary Line of 17th
Street, S. E. and the South East Corner
of Lot 5, Block B, P. J. Willis
& Bros. Subdivision, and the North East
Corner of Lot 10, Block B,
P. J. Willis & Bros. Subdivision, lying adjacent to the South Boundary
Lines of Lots 1 through 5 and adj acent
to the North Boundary Lines of
Lots 6 through 10, all in Block B of the
P. J. Willis & Bros. Subdivision;
and,
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council
that the alley described in said plat is not desired by the property
owners adjacent to said alley and that said alley is of no use to the
City of Paris, and, therefore, no necessity exists therefor; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette, be,
and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to 6-1/2 feet
of the 13 foot alley being closed to the adjacent owners on either side
of said alley, it appearing that that the real and true owners of the
hereinafter described lots and parts of lots out of Block B in the
P. J. Willis & Bros. Subdivision are as follows:
