1637 RES AMENDING RES NO 1630 BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 5RESOLUTION NO. 1637
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1630 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 5
OF SAID RESOLUTION; PROVIDING THAT MRS, ROBERT NORRIS
AND MRS. J. T. BRYAN BE APPOINTED ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR
WARD THREE (3) AND PROVIDING FOR PROPER POSTING AND
PUBLICATION OF ELECTION NOTICES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That that part of Section 2 of Resolution No. 1630 of
the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, dealing with Ward Three (3), be
amended so that such shall read as follows:
. . Ward Three (3):
Polling Place: Calvary Assembly of God Church
240 19th Street, N. W.
Officials: Mrs. Robert Norris , Presiding Judge
Mrs. J. T. Bryan , Judge..."
Section 2. That Section 5 of Resolution No. 1630 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris
is hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed
Notice of Election pursuant to this order for election, signed
by the Mayor of the City of Paris and attested by the City
Clerk, on the bulletin board in the Office of the County Clerk
and on the bulletin board in the City Hall at least twenty (20)
days before the election; further, a properly executed copy of
such Notice of Election shall be published at least one time
not more than twenty-five (25) days not less than ten (10)
days before the election in at least one daily newspaper pub-
lished in Lamar County, and copies of the notice shall also
be filed with the County Clerk of Lamar County and the
City Clerk of the City of Paris. "
