1640 RES CITY COUNCIL AT MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 9 1974 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO, 1640
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore at
its Council Meeting on September 9, 1974, approve the advertisement
for bids for a three wheel, gasoline motor pickup sweeper in accordance
with detailed specifications dated October, 1974, which bids were re -
ceived until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, October 9, 1974; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said three wheel, gasoline motor
pickup sweeper was made by Southwest Municipal Supply, Inc. , and it
should be awarded the contract for such sweeper; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish the said sweeper is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Southwest Municipal Supply, Inc. , to furnish a
three wheel, gasoline motor pickup sweeper, in the amount of
$17, 436. 00, is hereby accepted and let; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract to furnish three
wheel, gasoline motor pickup sweeper between the City of Paris and
Southwest Municipal Supply, Inc. , upon the terms and conditions and in
the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
