1648 RES CITY COUNCIL AT SPECIAL MEETING ON 21ST DAY OF OCTOBER 1974 APPROVED ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1648
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did, at a
special Council Meeting, on the 21st day of October, 1974, approve
the advertisement for bids for curb and gutter and driveway con-
struction on East Cherry Street, between 20th Street, N. E. and
25th Street, N. E., in accordance with detailed plans and specifica-
tions, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday,
November 6, 1974; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for said project was made by
Bill Haley, d/b/a Haley Concrete Company, and he should be awarded
the contract for such project; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract to construct said project is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the bid of Bill Haley, d/b/a Haley Concrete Company, to
construct to completion, within 20 calendar days, curb and gutter and
driveways on East Cherry Street, between 20th Street, N. E. and 25th
Street, N. E. , in the amount of $10, 860. 00, is hereby accepted and
let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all the terms and spe-
cifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James M. Brunette, be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract to
construct said curb and gutter and driveways on East Cherry Street,
between 20th Street, N. E. and 25th Street, N. E. , upon the terms
and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto.
