ESOLUTIONS\CURRENTINETLS 9-01 <br /> September 7, 2001 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A LAY REPRESENTATIVE AND <br />ALTERNATE LAY REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NORTHEAST TEXAS <br />LIBRARY SYSTEM; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Paris, acting through its Library, is desirous of continuing <br />participation in the Northeast Texas Library System; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the terms of office of John Howison, as lay representative to the Northeast <br />Texas Library System, and Jackie Alsobrook, as alternate lay representative, expired on August <br />31,2001; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Library Advisory Board of the City of Paris does hereby recommend <br />the reappointment of John Howison, as lay representative, and the reappointment of Jackie <br />Alsobrook, as alternate lay representative, for terms of two (2) years, beginning September 1, <br />2001, and ending August 31, 2003; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That John Howison be, and he is hereby, reappointed to serve as lay <br />representative and that Jackie Alsobrook be, and she is hereby, reappointed to serve as alternate <br />lay representative to the Northeast Texas Library System for terms of two (2) years, beginning <br />September 1, 2001, and ending August 31, 2003. <br /> <br />Section 3.
