1582 RES CITY COUNCIL IS DESIROUS OF CLASSIFYING EMPLOYEES OF COP AND ESTABLISHING SALARY PLANRESOLUTION NO. 1582
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of
classifying the employees of the City of Paris and establishing a
salary plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is agreeable to
cooperating with the County of Lamar in a joint wage and classification
project; and,
WHEREAS, to accomplish such classification and salary plan it is
necessary to employ personnel consultants; and,
WHEREA.S, in order to finance such project it is necessary for
the City of Paris and the County of Lamar to procure funds from the
Department of Community Affairs of the State of Texas; NOW, THERE-
FORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, AS FOLLOWS:
l. That the City of P2ris jointly with the County of Lamar,
in the event such County desires to go forward with said
joint project, and in the event it does not so wish, to
individually process an application for funds from the
Department of Community Affairs of the State of Texas
to assist in financing the project entitled "City-County
Classification and Salary Plan" at a total cost of
$20, 000. 00, $15, 000. 00 to be furnished by the
Department of Community Affairs and $5, 000. 00 in
in kind services to be furnished by the City of Paris
and County of Lamar.
2. That Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby appointed Project Director.
3. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance of the City of
Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed Financial Officer
of said project.
4. That Kerry R. Sweatt, City Manager, be, and he is
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver,
on behalf of the City of Paris, the necessary applica-
tions, communications, instruments and documents
necessary for the completion of said project.
