1580 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDSRESOLUTION NO. 1580
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore
advertise for bids in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas
and the Charter of the City of Paris for the construction of 16, 800
feet, more or less, of various size water transmission and distribu-
tion lines, together with fire hydrants and other appurtenances, for
the purpose of serving Jefferson Heights and other intervening pro-
perty adjacent to said lines; and,
WHEREAS, said bids were received on the 4th day of
September, 1973; and,
WHEREAS, M. L. Smyers Construction Company bid of
$100, 096. 00 was the best bid; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, F. D. Mallory, III, be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City of Paris a contract with M. L. Smyers Construction Company
for the Jefferson Heights Water Construction Project, in the amount
of $100, 096. 00, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
