1556 RES HONORABLE JAMES W FARRIS COMPLETED FOUR YEARS ON CITY COUNCIL AND FOUR YEARS AS MAYORRESOLUTION NO. 1556
WHEREAS, the Honorable James W. Farris has just completed
a service of four years on the City Council of the City of Paris and
has just finished serving as Mayor of the City of Paris for a period
of two years; and,
WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Farris served as such
Councilman and such Mayor, he gave of his services for the best in-
terests of the City of Paris during a time of great accomplishment;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the outstanding repre-
sentation Mayor Farris provided for the City of Paris as a Vice-
President and Director of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware of
its inaptness in expressing in words the keen respect and admira-
tion of all of the members of the City Council for James W. Farris;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That we here and now express to James W. Farris our full
and complete appreciation for his years of service on the City
Council and for his two years of service as Mayor of the City of
Paris, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes for
his future welfare and for his continued interest in the future of the
City of Paris.
