1548 RES PUBLIC CONVENIENCE, SAFETY AND NECESSITY OF COP REQUIRE CITY COUNCIL COOPERATE WITH ST OF TXRESOLUTION NO. 1548 ,
WHEREAS, the public convenience, safety and necessity of the
City of Paris and of the citizens of the City of Paris require that the
City Council of the City of Paris cooperate with the State of Texas in
every manner in which State Highway routes within the City of Paris
may be improved; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Department proposes to make cer -
tain improvements on U. S. Highway No. 82 (Loop 286 N. W. from
U. S. Highway 82 West in a North Westerly direction to 0. 2 miles
West of U. S. Highway 271 North, with the City of Paris being obli-
gated to procure right of way and otherwise as stated in Contractual
Agreement for Right of Way Procurement, a copy of which is attached
hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W. Farris, be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City of Paris, Contractual Agreement for Right of Way Procurement,
upon the terms and conditions and in the form as shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto.
