1534 RES CITY COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT OF IMPROVEMENT OF BUTTERMILK BRANCHRFSOLUTION NO. 1534
WHERFAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has under-
taken a project of improvement of Buttermilk Branch of Big
Sandy Creek, from 27th Street, S. E., South to Clarksville
Street; and,
WHEREAS, all easements necessary .for said improvement
have been procured except for the following:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City
of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the George
W. Cox Survey, being a part of the prop erty allotted
to Barney Bray as recorded in Vol. 3, Page 448, of the
District Court Records, Lamar County, Texas, dated
August 25, 1928, and being a part of Lot 28, City
Block 249, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the common boundary line
of Lot l, Block B, Wynnwood Addition, arrl Lot 28, City
Block 249, said point being the Southeast Corner of
said Lot 1, and the Northeast Corner of said Lot 28.
Thence South 31° 59' E along the Common Boundary
Line of Block A, Johnsons Woods Estates and Lot 28,
City Slock 249, a distance of 42 feet to a point;
Thence S 34° 58' E along said boundary line a
distance of 70.18 feet to a point;
Thence S 03° 44' E along said boundary line a
distance of 192.15 feet to a point;
Thence S 27° 10' W along said boundary line a
distance of 64.15 feet to a point;
Thence N 88° 56' W along said boundary line a
distance of 63.85 feet to a point;
Thence S 39° 35' W along said boundary line a
distance of 108.73 feet to a point in the North Boundary
Line of Clarksville Street;
Thence N 65° W along said North Boundary Line a
distance of 41.3 feet to a point;
Thence N 39° 35' E a distance of 178 feet to a
point;
Thence N 6° 50' E a distance of 182 feet to a point;
Thence N 31° 59' W a distance of 110 feet to a point,
said point being in the Common Boundary Line of Lot 1,
Block B, Wynnwood Addition and Lot 28, City Block 249;
Thence East with said boundary line a distance of
50 feet to the point of beginning and containing in all
0.537 acres, more or less.
which is owned by Barney Bray, Jr. or Sarney Bray, III; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the described easement
is necessary for said improvement project and that the same
should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby au-
thorized and directed to proceed to condemn the above described
property to be used for drainage and utility easement in
accordance with the established policies of the City of Paris.
