1529 RES CITY COUNCIL ON 20TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1972 PASSED RES NO 1523RFSOLUTION NO. 1529
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did on the
20th day of November, 1972, pass Resolution No. 1523 approving
Texas Highway Department Minute Order Noo 66670; and,
WHER EAS, the City of Paris is desirous for the 224 feet of
curb and gutter to be constructed at the City of Paris' cost;
NOW, THrREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Texas Highway Department be requested to include the
construction of the estimated 224 feet of curb an d gutter ad-
jacent to Paris Manor Nursing Home property in its construction
contract for the improvement and expansion of Loop 480 S. E.,
from U. S. Highway 271 North to 0.5 miles South of U. S.
Highway 82; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris an agreement
between said City and the State Highway Department for the
construction of said cur b and gutter wherein the C.ity agrees to
pay the Texas Highway Department's cost of the same; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Director of Finance,
H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed,
upon the completion of approximately 224 feet of curb and
gutter and acceptance of the same by the Texas Highway
Department and the City of Paris,to pay the costs of the same
to the Texas Highway Department of the State of Texas.
