1526 RES COP BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT WERE RECEIVED AND GIVEN TO CONSULTANT ENGINEERRESOLUTION NO. 1526 _
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has heretofore let for bids
the construction of the new Sewage Treatment Plant, being
Project No. WPC-Tex-917, and said bids were heretofore re-
ceived and given to the Consultant Engineer for analysis; and,
WHEREAS, Hayter Engineering, after reviewing the bids,
recommends that the base bid of E1m Fork Construction Company,
Inc. of Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $1,236,000.00 be
accepted, and recommends that Alternate Proposals No. 1, 2 and
3 be rejected, and that the contract award be based on the
following equipment being selected for the project:
Rotory Aerators - Rex Chainbelt
Comminutor - Worthington
Grit Collector - Rex Chainbelt
Clarifier - Rex Chainbelt
Screw Pump - Beloit Passavant
Chlorinator - Fischer and Porter
Flow Recorder - Fischer and Porter
Plant Control Panel - Westinghouse
Raw Sewage Pumps - Worthington
Auxilliary Generator - Waukesha
Transf er Switch - ASCO
Pump Station Control Panel - Westinghouse
Paint - Mobil
NOW, THEREFORE? BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, That it finds that E1m Fork Construction Company,
Inc., of Dallas, Texas' base bid, in the amount of $1,236,000.00,
is the lowest and best bid.
BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVED, That the contract for the new
Sewage Treatment Plant, being Project No. WPC-Tex-917, be
awarded to Elm Fork Construction Comp any, Inc. of Dallas, Texas,
subject to the concurrence of the Texas Water Quality Board and
the Environmental Protection Agency, said anrard being subject to
the following equipment being selected for said project:
Rotory Aerators - Rex Chainbelt
Comminutor - Worthington
Grit Collector - Rex Chainbelt
Clarifier - Rex Chainbelt
Screw Pump - Beloit Passavant
Chlorinator - Fischer and Porter
Flow Recorder- Fischer and Porter

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Alternate Proposals No. 1, 2
and 3, be, and they are hereby rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris contract
documents in accordance with the award herein made.
