1518 RES FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS PART 139 REQUIRES FIRE CONTROL EQUIPMENT ON AIRPORTS SERVICED BY AIR CARRIERRFSOLUTION NO. 151E Wf-IEREAS, Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 139, requires fire control equipment on all airports serviced by air carrier; and, WHEREAS, Cox Field, Paris, Texas, is served by Frontier Ai.rlines, Inc., an air carrier; and, WHEREAS, Cox Field is not equipped with f ire control equip- ment as it should be; and, WHEREAS, the Federal-Aid Airport Program malces available assistance grants for the purpose of purchasing fire rescue equipment; NOW, THEZEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Paris provide fire control equip- ment as required by Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 139, for Cox Field, Paris, Texas. 2. That the City of Paris process a grant application under the Federal-Aid Airport Program administered by the Federal Aviation Administration to assist in the payment of the required fire rescue equipment. 3. That Alford M. Stewart, Airport Manager, Cox Field, Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby appointed project dir ector. 4. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby appointed financial officer of said project. 5. That H. C. Greene, Acting City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, the necessary appli- cations, communications, instruments and documents necessary for the completion of said project.
