1517 RES COP WITH ITS CHARTER AND LAWS OF ST OF TX ADVERTISED FOR BIDSR ESOLUTION NO. 1517
WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore, in accordance
with its Charter and the laws of the State of Texas, advertise
for bids for the installation of a raw water pump at the City
of Paris Pat Mayse Pump Station, to be known as Pat Mayse Raw
Water Pump No. 3; and,
WHER EAS, the Consultant Engineers did recommend the
acceptance of the low bid of Harrison Construction Company, in
the amount of $58,054.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council received bids on October 9, 1972;
and,
WHER EAS, on October 12, 1972, the Consultant Erigineers did
recommend the acceptance of the low bid of Harrison Construction
Compaxly, adjusted by alternate selection of pump, at a total
contract price of $52, 393.00; NOW, THEREF'ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS2
That the City Council of the City of Paris does hereby approve
the form of the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A and made
a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHEFt RFSOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Paris.

The CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to commence work within ten (10)
days after the date written notice to do so shall have been given to
him, and to substantially complete the same within 190 calenciar
days after the date of the written notice to commence work, subject
to such extensions of time as are provided by the General and Special
Conditions.
THE OWNER agrees to pay the CONTRACTOR in current funds the price
of $52,393.00 without regard to the price shown in the proposal,
which forms a part of this contract, such payments to be subject to
the General and Special Conditions of the contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties to these presents have executed
this Agreement in the year and day first above written.
