1511 RES COME TO THE ATTENTION OF COP THAT CERTAIN PROPERTIES WERE NEVER CONVEYED FROM COP TO PISDRESOLUTION No. 1511 WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of Paris that certain properties on which the school buildings being operated by the Paris Independent School District are located or were heretofore located were never conveyed from the City of Paris to the Paris Independent School District at the time that the control of these properties passed to the Paris Independent School District and three of such properties being those properties hereinafter described and that title to said property has been and should be vested in Paris Independent School District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Paris, that James W. Farris, Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized, in behalf of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, to execute deed conveying to the Paris Independent School District that certain property described as follows: FIRST TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, and being a tract of land known as the First Ward School lot. BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said tract of land. THENCE South along the West Boundary line of 8th S. E. a distance of 250 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE West a distance of 249 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE South a distance of 103 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE West a distance of 195. 7 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE North a distance of 110 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE East a distance of 54 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE North a distance of 126, 7 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE West a distance of 77 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE North a distance of 125. 5 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE along t:he South Boundary line of Sherman Street as follows: East a distance of 26 feet; Easterly a distance of 174. 3 feet; East a distance of 267.4 feet to the place of beginning. SECOND TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, and being a tract of land known as the 4th Ward School lot. BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said tract of land; THENCE South along the West Boundary line of 11th N. E. a distance of 356 feet to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of said tra ct of land; THENCE West a distance of 177 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE North a distance of 91 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE West a distance of 164. 3 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE North along the East Boundary line of lOth N. E. a distance of 271 feet to a stake for corner at the Northwest corner of said tract of land; THENCE East along the South Boundary line of Pine Bluff Street a distance o 336. 5 feet to the place of beginning. THIRD TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of the George W. Cox Survey, and being a tract of land being known as the East Paris School lot, and being all of Block 2 of the Highland Park Addition to the City of Paris as recorded in Book 1, page 4, Plat Records of Lamar County, Texas, being bounded as follows: on the West by 20th Street Southeast, on the North by Hubbard Street, on the East by 22nd S.
