1501 RES COME TO ATTENTION THAT CERTAIN PROPERTIES OPERATED BY PISD WERE NEVER CONVEYED FROM COP TO PISDRESOLUTION NO. 1501 ,
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of Paris
that certain properties on which the school buildings being
operated by the Paris Independent School District are located or
were heretofore located were never conveyed from the City of
Paris to the Paris Independent School District at the time that
the control of these properties passed to the Paris Independent
School District and two of such properties being those proper-
ties hereinafter described and that title to said property has
been and should be vested in Paris Independent School District;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That James W. Farris, Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is
hereby authorized, in behalf of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
to execute deed conveying to the Paris Independent School
District that certain property described as .follows:
FIRST TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a
part of the Asa Jarman Survey, and being a tract of land
known as the Rosa Pearson School lot.
BDGINNING at a stake for corner at the Northeast
corner of said tract of land.
THENCE West along the South Bounda,ry line of Bonham
Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for corner at
the Northwest corner of said tract of 1and;
THENCE South a distance of 292 feet to a stake for
corner at the Southwest corner of said tract of land;
THENCE East along the North Boundary line of
Kaufman Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for
corner at the Southeast corner of said tract of land;
THENC E North along the West Boundary line of 19th
S. W. a distance of 292 feet to the place of beginning,
and containing 1.53 acres of land.
SDCOND TRACT: Situated within the corporate limits of
the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas,
a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, and being the
Graham School lot now owned by the Paris Independent
School District.
BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the Southwest
corner of said tract of land;
THENCE North along the East Boundary line of 7th
N. W., a distance of 471 feet to a stake at the
Northwest corner of said tract of land;
THENC E South 89 Deg. East a distance of 250 f eet
to a stake at the Northeast corner of said tract of
land;
THENCE South 3 Deg. 11 Min. West along the West
Boundary line of 6th N. W. a distance of 498 feet to
a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of said
tract of land;
THENCE North 82 Deg. 15 Min. West along the North
Boundary line of Graham Street a distance of 225 feet
to the place of beginning.
