1479 RES TWO VACANCIES EXIST ON MEMBERSHIP OF P&Z COMMRFSOLUTION NO. 1479 ,
WHEREAS, there exists two vacancies on the membership of
the Planning and Zonin g Commission of the City of Paris, due to
the appointment of Dr. James M. Brunette to the City Council
and the resignation of John Becker, an d it is necessary to
appoint their successors, and the Mayor of the City of Paris,
James W. Farris, having appointed Homer Thornton to serve the
unexpired term of Dr. James M. Brunette, which terminates
December 31, 1973, and A1 Cathcart to serve the unexpired
term of John Becker, which terminates June 30, 1974, and has
submitted the names of such persons to the City Council of the
City of Paris; NOW, THFREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the appointment, as members of the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Paris, of Homer Thornton to serve the
unexpired term of Dr. James M. Brunette, which terminates
December 31, 1973, and Al Cathcart to serve the unexpired term
of John Becker, which terminates June 30, 1974, is by the City
Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of March, 1972.
