1478 RES BOARD OF DIRECTORS RECOMMENDED MRS GLYNN LOWE ET AL BE APPOINTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF PUBLIC LIBRARYRFSOLUTION NO. 1478
WHIIREAS, the Board of Directors of the Paris Public
Library has recommended that Mrs. Glynn Lowe, Herschel
McKinney and Sam Stone, be appointed to the Board of
Directors of the Paris Public Library,in order to fill the
vacancies created by the resignation of Mrs. Jess Alford and
Thomas Steely and the death of Maury Robinson, said appoint-
ments to become effective immediately and continue through
June 30, 1973, or until their successors are appointed; and,
WHEREAS, under Section 17-16 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, it is necessary that said
appointments be made by the City Council upon recommendation
of the Library Board; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT R FSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That Mrs. Glynn Lowe, Herschel McKinney and Sam Stone, who re-
side within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas,
be, and they are hereby appointed to serve as members of the
Board of Directors of the Paris Public Library through
June 30, 1973, or until their successors are appointed.
