1469 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL PETITITONS FOR WET ELECTIONS ARE BEING PROCESSEDRESOLUTION N0. 1469
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, that petitions for
wet elections are being processed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is of the
opinion that the best interest of the City of Paris and its
citizens will be served by zoning controls of retail alcoholic
beverage sales; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing is called for the next regular
meeting of the City Council on February 14, 1972, for the pur-
pose of considering amendments to Zoning Ordinance No. 1710,
establishing zoning controls for retail alcoholic beverage
sales, including beer and wine; and,
WHEREAS, the consideration of said amendments is hereby
referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Paris, to be considered at its meeting on February 1, 1972;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO
That amendments to Zoning Ordinance

Zoning Ordinance No. 1710;
BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVED, That a public hearing be held by
and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
at 7:00 o'clock P. M., on the 14th day of February, 1972, in
connection with the proposed zoning ordinance amendment de-
scribed above; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That consideration of said amend-
ment is referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission at its
next regular meeting on February 1, 1972 for recommendations.
