1468 RES COP MADE APPLICATION TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE COUNCIL FOR GRANTRESOLUTION NO. 1468 WHIIZFAS, the City of Paris did heretofore make application to the Criminal Justice Council for a grant for renovation of police facility as authorized in Resolution No. 1453, which has been approved; and, WHEREAS, the planned renovated facility should contain Closed Circuit Television and Intercom System, all of which was not included in the previous grant, and funding for such equip- ment is available through the Criminal Justice Council o n a 75%-25% basis; and, WHER EAS, the cost of said equipment will be $16,500.00, $4,125.00 to be paid by the City of Paris and $12,375.00 to be paid by the Criminal Justice Council; and, WHER EAS, it is to the best interest of the City of Paris that an application for grant be submitted to the Texas Criminal Justice Council, in the total amount of $16,500.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Paris process an application for action grant from the Texas Criminal Justice Council, to assist in financing the project en- titled "Closed Circuit Television and Intercom System for Paris Police Department", at a total cost of $16,500.00, $12,375.00 to be furnished by C.J.C. and $4,125.00 to be furnished by the City of Paris. 2. That Loyd Mathews, Chief, Paris Police Department, be, and he is hereby appointed Project Director. 3. That H. C. Greene, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby appointed Financial Officer of said pro- ject. 4. That C. L. Walker, City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and de- liver, on behalf of the City of Paris, the ne- cessary applications, communications, instruments and documents necessary for the completion of said project.
