1446 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1417 DETERMINED TO COOPERATE WITH TX HIGHWAY DEPTRFSOLUTION NO. 1.446
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris heretofore
in Resolution No. 1417 determined to cooperate with the Texas
Highway Department in the location of the intersection of 9th
Street, N. E. with Loop Highway 286 N. E., in order that said
intersection would serve 9th Street, N. E. vice 8th Street, N. E.
as previously planned; and,
WHEREAS, there will be additional costs to the project es-
timated at $9,000.00 to construct said intersection as requested
by the City of Paris, and it is only right and proper that the
City of Paris pay such additional costs; NOW, THER EFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W.
Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Paris an agreement with the State of Texas obligat-
ing the City of Paris to pay the additional costs of construc-
tion of the intersection of 9th Street, N. E. with Loop Highway
286 N. E., said costs being estimated at $9,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That H. C. Greene, the Director
of Finance of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to transmit to the State of Texas, a check in the
amount of $9,000.00, made payable to the State Treasurer,
Account Trust Fund No. 927, no later than thirty (30) days prior
to receipt of bids for the 9th Street, N. E. intersection with
Loop 286 N. E. project and to, after receipt of bids, pay any
additional costs determined to be the City's share of said im-
provement to the same account, or in the event the bids are
lower than the estimate to receive any refund, which the State
Treasurer shall make to the City of Paris.
