1445 RES COP IS INTERESTED IN EXPANSION OF LOOP 286 NERFSOLUTION NO. 1445
LVHEREAS, the City of Paris is interested in the expansion
of Loop 286 N. E. ; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris owns property adjacent to
Loop 286 N. E., which has been desi gnated Parcel 7 and Parcel 8
by the Texas Highway Degartment, containing 0.339 acres and
0.872 acres respectively, as the same appears on Sheet 5 of
Project No. RW 8001-1-22; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has agreed to convey to the
State of Texas by right of way deed for $7,209.00 the said two
parcels described as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL 7: Situated in Lamar County, Texas,
being a part of an original 5.18 acre tract of land
situated in the Redding Russell Survey, Abst. No. 786,
conveyed by O. M. Howie and wife, Vala Howie to
Central Hide and Rendering Company by deed dated the
30th day of March, 1943, recorded in Volume 268,
Page 234, of Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point in the existing South
Right-of-Way Line of U. S. Highways 82 and 271,
formerly Loop 286, said point being the Northeast
corner of said Central Hide tract, said point being
the Northwest corner of a tract owned by the City
of Paris, said point being S 220 O1' W a distance
of 159.8 feet from survey line station 136 plus 33.0
of said U. S. Highways 82 and 271, formerly Loop
286, said point also being N 22° 01' E a distance of
507.8 feet from an outside corner of said Central
Hide tract;
THENCE S 220 O1' W along said Central Hide-City
of Paris Common Boundary Line a distance of 43.8 feet,
a point;
THENCE N 570 09' W a distance of 343.7 feet, a
point, said point being in the West Bounda,ry Line of
said Central Hide tract, said point being in the East
Boundary Line of a tract owned by B. B. Harlan Estate;
THENCE N 23° 36' E along said Central Hide-
Harlan Common Boundary Line a distance of 43.6 feet,
a point, said point being in said existing South
Ri ght -of -Way line of U. S. Highways 82 and 271,
formerly Loop 286, said point also being the
Northwest corner of said Central Hide tract, said
point being S 23° 36' W a distance of 159.1 feet from
survey line station 132 plus 95.0 of said U. S.
Highway 82 and 271, formerly Loop 286;
THENCE S 570 09' E a distance of 342.5 feet to
the place of beginning and containing 0.339 acres of
land, more or less, all of which is required for

PARCEL 8: Situated in Lamar County, Texas,
being a part of an original 26.463 acre tract of land
situated in the Redding Russell Survey, Abst. No. 786,
conveyed by E. W. Lovell and wife, Anna Lovell, to the
City of Paris, Texas by deed dated the 12th day of
February, 1935, recorded in Volume 238, Page 621, of
Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point in the existing South
Right-of-Way Line of U. S. Highways 82 and 271,
formerly Loop 286, said point being the Northwest
corner of the remaining part of said original
26.463 acre tract, lying south of said highway,
said point being the Northeast corner of a tract
owned by Central Hide and Rendering Company, said
point being S 220 Ol' W a distance of 159.8 feet
from survey lin e station 136 plus 33.0 of said
U. S. Highways 82 and 271, formerly Loop 286, said
point being N 22° O1' E a distance of 507.8 feet
from the most Westerly Southwest corner of said
City of Paris tract;

to the place of beginning and containing 0.872 acres
of land, more or less, all of which is required for

NOW, THgZEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TFXAS, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Jaxnes W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized to exe-
cute right of way deeds describing the above two parcels to the
State of Texas for $7,209.00.
