1443 RES COP RECEIVED REQUEST FROM MR JAMES BARNARD FOR EASEMENT OF ROWRESGLUTION NO. 1443 WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received a request from Mr. James Barnard for an easement of right of way to property he wishes to purchase through the Texas Veterans Land Board; and, WHEREAS, Texas Veterans Land Board regulations require access to a public road for any property being purchased through it; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Barnard requests the following 50 foot easement across City of Paris property: All that certain 6,500 square feet or 0.149 acre tract or parcel of land situated about 3.5 miles North West from Paris, Lamar County, Texas, being a part of the Richard Rattan Survey, Abstract No. 790, said tract being 50 feet wide and an average of 130 feet long, to be used as an access road to the T. C. Penn property, more particularly described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a stake for a corner; said point being 76.7 feet South of the N/E corner of the A. Mcintuff Survey; said corner also being the S/E corner of the I. Ruble Survey, and being in the W/B/L of the Richard Rattan Survey; THENCE South 45 degrees East, 155 feet to a stake for a corner; THENC E South 45 degrees West, 50 feet to a stake for a corner ; THENCE North 45 degrees West, 105 feet to a stake for a corner; THIIVCE North 70.7 feet to the place of beginning, containing 6,500 Sq. Ft. or 0.149 acres of land. Being described in accordance with a survey made on the ground by A. C. Fryar, Registered Public Surveyor, No. 549, on the 13th day of September, 1971. AND) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in favor of the Veterans Land Board Program and wishes to co- operate in any reasonable manner with veteran purchasers; NOW, THEREFOR E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS~ PARIS, TEXAS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, James W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a right of way easement,describing the above tract or parcel of land,to the Veterans Land Board of the State of Texas or the grantee designated by the Veterans Land Board of the State of Texas; consideration for said conveyance to be $10.00 and other good and valuable consideration.
