1435 RES BEEN CALLED TO ATTENTION OF CITY COUNCIL THAT DESCRIBED PROPERTY CHANGED FROM COMMERCIAL TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENTRESOLUTION NO. 1435
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, that the herein-
after described property, belonging to M. S. Kimbell and Clyde
Fry, was at their request, by Ordinance No. 1951, passed
March 9, 1970, changed from a Commercial District (C) to a
Planned Development District, Community Unit Development; and,
WHIIZEAS, it is the opinion of the City Council th at when
property re-zoned for the purpose of development to some zon-
ing other than that of the adjacent property, that after a
reasonable period of time without the proposed development
occurring, that said property should be back zoned to the
classification it previously had; and,
WHEREAS, the property herein being considered, is de-
scribed as follows:
Being all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land
situated in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and out of the
Redding Russell Survey, and a part of a 90.826 acre
tract conveyed to KRSS Corp. by deed recorded in Vol.
408, Page 334, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, and
being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at an iron stake at the point of inter-
section of the Northeast ROW Line of DeShong Dr. (a 50
foot ROW) and the Northwest ROW Line of Lewis Lane (a
60 foot ROW);
THENCE N. 59° 30' W., 300.00 feet with the Northeast
ROW Line of DeShong Dr. to the true point of beginning;
THENCE N. 50° 30' W., 554.0 feet continuing with the
Northeast ROW Line of DeShong Dr. to a point for corner;
THENCE N. 30° 50' E., 786.5 feet to a point for
cflrner in the Southwest ROW Line of Stone Ave. (a 60
foot ROW);
THENC E S. 59° 30' E., 554.0 feet with the Southwest
ROW Line of Stone Ave. to a point for corner;
THENC E S. 300 50' W., 786.5 feet to the point of
beginning and containing 435,721.0 Sq. Ft. or 10.003
acres of land.
Being a Part of Lot l, City Block 306.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, That the herein described property,
belonging to M. S. Kimbell and Clyde Fry, is hereby referred to
the Planning and Zoning Commission for the purpose of consider-
ing an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, to change said
property from a Planned Development District, Community Unit
Development, to a Commercial District; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a public hearing be held by
and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
at 7:00 o'clock P. M., on the 13th day of September, 1971, in
connection with the proposed re-zoning of the above described
property.
