1432 RES CITY COUNCIL IN RES NO 1408 AUTHORIZED MAYOR TO EXECUTE PURCHASE OPTION CONTRACTRFSOLUTION NO. 1432
LJHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, heretofore, in Resolution No. 1408, authorized the Mayor
of the City of Paris to execute a purchase option contract,
giving the City of Paris the right to purchase a tract, to be
used as a park, consisting of 5.146 acres, lying adjacent to
the North Boundary Line of Johnson Street, owned by Robert H.
McDougal, on or before October 1, 1971, at a price of
$6,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, said property, and the parks project connected
therewith, has been preliminarily approved by HUD; and,
WHEREAS, it is right and proper for the City of Paris to
exercise its option to purchase said 5.146 acre tract from
Robert H. McDougal; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS?
PARIS, TEXAS, That the Mayor, James W. Farris, be, and he is
hereby authorized to exercise the City of Paris' option to
purchase, for $6,000.00, a 5.146 acre tract of land, fronting
on the North Side of Johnson Street, owned by Robert H.
McDougal, and upon said option, the Director of Finance,
H. C. Greene, is hereby authorized to pay to Robert H.
McDougal, $6,000.00.
