1430 RES CITY COUNCIL AT ITS REGULAR MEETING ON 14TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1970 DETERMINED TO EMPLOY FIRM OF SHIMEK-ROMING-JACOBS & FLINKLEAR ESOLUTION NO. 1430 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, on
the 14th day of September, 1970, at its regular Council Meeting,
as was noted in the minutes ofsaid meeting, determine to employ
the Firm of Shimek-Roming-Jacobs & Finklea to perform engineer-
ing services in connection with the preparation of an Airport
Master Plan Study, the preparation of plans and specifications,
and general administration of construction for improvements
needed at Cox Field; and,
WHERFAS, thereafter on the 21st day of September, 1970, a
contract for said services was executed on behalf of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, by B. M. Felty, Mayor, and C. L. Walker,
City Manager, and on behalf of Shimek-Roming-Jacobs & Finklea
by Ross L. Jacobs; and,
WHERFAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council
of the City of Paris that it is necessary that the original
agreement, dated September 21, 1970, be amended to read in
accordance with an Amendment to Contract for Engineering Services,
attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part of this resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, That the City Council does hereby ratify the terms
and conditions of the agreement entered into between the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, and Shimek-Roming-Jacobs & Finklea for en-
gineering services, dated September 21, 1970; and,
BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, James W. Farris, be, and he is hereby authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Paris, Aznendment to Contract
for Engineering Services, dated May 18, 1971, a copy of which
is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
